Activities Manager – Hyatt Vacation Ownership Join to apply for the Activities Manager role at Hyatt Vacation Ownership. Responsible for staffing and training for Activities Departments. Ensures staff is knowledgeable regarding property facilities and daily events. Job Summary Activity Manager oversees staffing and training of Activities Department; ensures staff proficiency on brand SOPs, safety, emergency procedures, and guest service. Reports on guest satisfaction, profitability, sanitation, job safety, and employee satisfaction. Manages departmental budgets and human resources activities. Shift: 1st/2nd; must be available to work weekends and holidays. Candidate Profile Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in recreation/health club operations or related professional area. Core Work Activities Ensures staff is trained on all brand standard operating procedures. Administers and ensures employee adherence to corporate and local SOPs. Strives to meet the five goals of the property (guest satisfaction, profitability, sanitation, job safety, employee satisfaction). Demonstrates knowledge of safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies. Shows extensive knowledge of resort property, staff, and services including kitchen, food, beverage, and controllable store rooms. Fosters teamwork and communication among different departments. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of daily events, facility operations, points of interest. Monitors and directs concierge, boats, Kids Klub, and guest experience. Creates, organizes and implements activities for all age ranges. Acts as liaison among resort outlets and guests. Ensures clean, stocked and organized work areas in resort activities desk, gym, Inspiration Center, etc. Manages wages and controllable expenses within budgeted guidelines. Monitors and controls all expenses with requisition sheets, purchase orders, purchase logs and invoices. Reads and comprehends operating statements and budget worksheets. Provides constructive coaching, counseling and mentoring to employees. Supports development, training, delegation and motivation of staff. Responds to employee needs, resolves conflicts and manages hourly employees. Provides excellent customer service, handles guest problems and complaints.
