You will be responsible for managing the resources under his charge with the purpose of maintaining production equipment in optimal operating conditions and improving the processes and building to help deliver a product on time and free of defects following the Resideo ROS Operating System concepts.

Follow up or implement the Total Productive Maintenance system in both production equipment and building.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop and maintain Resideo Operating System (ROS) initiatives and activities in all phases.
  • Develop and maintain up to date standard work and supervise subordinates' work.
  • Participate interactively in the daily followup meetings that take place at different levels in the production area as part of the HO, motivating the participation of personnel at all levels.
  • Stabilize production processes and equipment and implement improvements to them.
  • Apply, implement and follow up on Resideo Operating System tools such as RPS (Rapid Problem Solving), 5S's, VSM, VM, etc.
  • Empower and motivate personnel to analyze equipment and process failures using the RPS and implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain production equipment in good operating condition.
  • Perform daily Safety inspections to the different areas of the plant to identify unsafe behaviors or conditions to avoid incidents or accidents.
  • Participate in Health and Safety activities, developing investigations of incidents or accidents and resolving situations that arise; responding to Correctiv Actions (CARs) within the limits established by the plant
  • Coordinate the activities of the maintenance area personnel.
  • Generate the necessary maintenance procedures and processes required for each technology and process existing in Resideo.
  • Develop investment and capital maximization plans in the different areas of the plant.
  • Develop plans to achieve maximum capital utilization of available human and equipment resources.
  • Develop local suppliers to provide services and/or spare parts with equal or better quality from the manufacturers of the different SSM equipment but at lower cost.
  • Develop equipment relocation analysis plans to improve material flow and capacity in each production area.
  • Develop plans to relocate equipment and layout changes in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Develop plans to control and improve the different processes and technologies that exist in Resideo, using statistical methods.
  • Develop plans to maintain the building facilities in optimal conditions both internally and externally

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Engineering level studies in Mechanical, Electronic, Electromechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience with: Automatic Insertion Machines, Surface Mount Technology Machines, Solder Paste Printers, Component Placement Machines, Reflow Ovens, Wave Soldering Machines
  • Three years minimum in similar position in Electronics Industry
  • Intermediate level English proficiency
  • Knowledge in the implementation of production processes that minimize the possibility of nonconforming product, compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Design and establish control mechanisms that allow detection, analysis and action taking.
  • Knowledge in the implementation of manufacturing processes for electrical and electronic products including SMD, soldering on electronic boards, electrical test, automatic insertion, assembly and inspection processes.
