About the role:

As an Accountant at a video game company, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records , conducting financial analysis , and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

You will ensure compliance with accounting principles , assist in financial reporting , and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company's financial objectives .

This position requires strong attention to detail, solid analytical skills , and a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and practices .


The Quest:

General Accounting and Financial Operations : Record and reconcile financial transactions , including accounts payable , accounts receivable , and general ledger entries .

Prepare and review journal entries , ensuring accuracy and proper documentation . Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes , including reconciliations and financial statement preparation . Maintain organized and up - to -date financial records and documentation .

Financial Reporting and Analysis :

Assist in the preparation of financial statements , including income statements , balance sheets , and cash flow statements .

Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations . Prepare financial reports and presentations for management. Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends , patterns , and opportunities for improvement .

Cost Accounting and Inventory Management:

Support cost accounting processes , including the calculation of production costs , inventory valuation , and cost of goods sold.

Assist in inventory management, including tracking and reconciling periodic physical inventory counts . Process and report assets depreciation monthly valuations . Analyze and report on inventory-related variances and discrepancies .

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable :
Review and process vendor invoices , ensuring accuracy , proper coding , and adherence to company policies . Prepare and review customer invoices , track receivables , and follow up on overdue payments . Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues . Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable inquiries .

Compliance and Internal Controls :
Ensure compliance with accounting principles (NIIF/IFRS) and company policies and procedures . Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and information . Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy .

Cross- functional Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments , such as finance , production , and legal, to gather and analyze financial information .

Provide financial insights and support to non- financial stakeholders . Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and assignments as required .

The Skills:
Bachelor's degree in accounting , Finance , or a related field . CPA or equivalent certification is preferred . Solid understanding of accounting principles , practices , and regulations . Previous experience in accounting or finance . Strong attention to detail and accuracy . Experience with accounting software and ERP systems . Excellent organizational and time management skills . Effective communication and interpersonal skills . Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment . Good proficiency with Excel and other MS office applications . Intermediate English level .
