Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive public policy strategy to support Stori's
business goals in Mexico City.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government
officials, industry associations, and other organizations.

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory and legislative developments related to fintech
issues in Mexico City and advise internal stakeholders on the potential impact of
such developments on the company's business.

  • Represent the company in public policy discussions and engage in advocacy
efforts to advance the company's interests.

  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including Legal, Product,
Communications, and Business Development, to ensure alignment on public
policy issues.

  • Develop and maintain a network of external experts to support the company's
public policy efforts.

  • Develop a training program for Product and business teams on regulatory
requirements and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or a
related field.

  • At least 6 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or related
fields, preferably with a focus on fintech matters.

  • Strong knowledge of the fintech industry, including regulatory and policy
frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build
relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience working in Compliance/Risk at a regulated Financial Services firm, Fintech, a regulator or similar body.
  • Knowledge of how financial institutions are supervised and how a regulatory affairs function works.
  • Selfmotivated, selforganized and with a specific focus on high quality work at a fastpaced rhythm.
  • Strong written communication skills and an ability to deliver a message succinctly
  • Ability to work independently and with changing priorities
  • Availability to travel
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex policy issues and their potential impact on the company.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
