Job Family:SoftwareReq ID:******As a Financial Analyst in the Royalty Administration team (RA), you will play an integral role in the Finance and Performance Management team (FPM), which includes the following core elements...FPMacts as central point to provide transparent and reliable financial information.RAis responsible for analyzing sales transactions and processing disbursements related to the outbound royalty program supporting operational aspects including working closely with various stakeholder groups including the Software & Technology Partner program office, legal, product management within the development organizations, Zone Finance teams, Pricing Management Office, and GSM&S.In this position, you will manage the monthly close process and the royalty accrual process. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and approvals with respect to all outbound royalty payments based on the applicable vendor agreement and sales order transactions. The diverse workload will keep you learning something new on a constant basis.ResponsibilitiesAs Financial Analyst (RA) you will have the following job responsibilities:Follows existing department policies, guidelines, systems, and standards applicable to the outgoing royalty processesPerforms moderately complex financial analyses specific to involving outbound royalty calculations, payments, product revenues, royalties, and profitabilityPerforms complex month end accrual entries and account reconciliationsEnsures adequate funding exists on royalty-related purchase orders, replenishes with purchase requisitions as neededPrepares royalty payments to comply with vendor agreementsFollows established department and system workflows to obtain appropriate approvalsReleases payments on a timely basis to meet contractual obligationsAnalyzes customer and product profitabilityEnsure that quality and control standards are metLiaison with other involved / interested parties both up-process and down-process (Legal, S&T partner program office, GSM&S, product management, PMO, Tax, Treasury, Finance)Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and ExperienceYou'll make an effective Financial Analyst in Royalty Administration by possessing some/all of these qualifications...Bachelor's degree in accounting, related field or equivalent experience3+ years of finance related backgroundStrong experience with Excel (required) and SAP (preferred)Strong written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work with professionals across all levels of the organizationExcellent attention to detailGood critical-thinking skills to gather the relevant, available data and make informed decisionsWe realize there's no such thing as a perfect candidate, and we don't expect you to check every box.
