Ria's mission is to be the most progressive money transfer company in the world by offering service excellence and the most competitive and reliable remittance payment services to our customers.The Check Cashing Collection Specialist is responsible for billing/collecting on returned items for checks processed by RIA Stores, and other collections duties as assigned.The Collections Specialist must up on checks assigned to them, with the objective of collecting as much as possible and subsequently updating notes/payments in the system.This will require reaching out to the Customer or Check Issuer directly and attempting to secure a payment for the dishonored instrument received by RIA.**Responsibilities**- Manages billing of Chargebacks, Adjustments & Fees for a specific region- advising them of returned items and requesting payments- Responsible for verifying the information on checks returned by the bank- Contact Stores regarding non-conforming images- Recover funds from Issuers/Customers- Answer incoming calls, resolve agent inquiries, create and provide payment receipts to Stores when requested.- Other- Data entry- Deliver a consistent and professional level of service at all times.- Achieve billing targets and call quality objectives.- Advice and influence Issuers/Customers on the payment options for recovery of funds- Handle each call promptly and in the correct manner, updating records accordingly.- Input customer related data accurately and efficiently.- Take responsibility for resolving disputes, ensuring that caller concerns are actioned correctly and all parties are notified.- Decide on the correct action when negotiating payments.- Have the ability to relate to people from a variety of different backgrounds.- Be persuasive, persistent and self-motivated.Show empathy, assertiveness, tact and resilience.**Qualifications**- Collections or Accounts Receivable experience is a plus, but will consider any Customer Service or Financial background- English level 75%- Must be detail oriented, with the ability to work independently- Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft OfficeBenefits: Our package includes Competitive salary, 1 month of Aguinaldo (Christmas bonus),15 days' vacation, Life insurance, Food vouchers and Work-life Balance.Ria values diversity and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.We provide equal opportunities to all employees and applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Job ID ***************
