General Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing new business and achieving sales and revenue goals in the assigned sales areas by maintaining and expanding the customer base. It is also responsible for technical support to existing customers and prospective customers.

Essential Job Functions

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/SALES
- Negotiate sales contracts with prospective customers
- Give sales presentations to a range of prospective customers
- Visit customers and potential customers to evaluate needs or promote products and services
- Maintain customer file
- Develop new business opportunities by effectively using or by proactively communicating with colleagues and prospects
- Prepare and submit RFQ and SR whenever necessary or appropriate
- Support NPI (new product introduction) builds toward final sale/qualification
- Support resolvingtechnical issues related to soldering
- Maintain a spreadsheet of previous sample requests and follow up with the customers accordingly
- Maintain call reports and meeting minutes, and keep those updated
- Provide technical presentations to customers and colleagues
- Obtain accurate forecasts from customers to assist with production scheduling and cost savings
- Maintain NDAs, and maintain strict confidentiality with proprietary information, and sensitive documents
- Participate in tradeshow events, booth set-up, customer invitations, and transportation
- Prepare Monthly Sales Activity Report and forecast, and submit to the Sales Manager
- Frequent travel is required

**Qualifications**:
Education Work Experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field
- Have knowledge and or a good understanding of SMT, T/H, and hand soldering process; direct work experience with these technologies is highly desired
- 3 years experience in sales and understanding of the sales process and dynamics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superb people skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers
- Certificates / Licenses
