**Job Summary**

Provides guidance and supervision to ensure the accomplishment of distribution center goals, including those related to budget and cost structure. Supervision group around 25-30 people.

**What you will do**
- Making workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improving service levels and costs for distribution center operations.
- Supervising and motivating distribution center employees through effective coaching and training, clear communication of job expectations, and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintaining a positive distribution center working environment.
- Implementing productivity, quality, and service standards. Resolving problems and identifying areas for improvements. Contributing performance data to strategic plans and reviews.
- Ensuring all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs (check list), as necessary.
- Adhering to requirements and procedures for safety regulations.

**Materials Handling and Management**:

- Oversees key issues and aspects of materials management activities, including the handling, transportation and storage.
- Facilitates the use of different types of automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Develops requirements and procedures for hazardous material transportation safety regulations.
- Works with difficult or unusual materials handling and management situations.
- Evaluates the efficiency of materials handling and management, makes improvements where necessary.
- Guides others on key features and considerations for materials management, such as storage control systems.

**Warehouse Management**:

- Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Performs basic warehousing activities such as receiving, putting away, picking, packing and shipping.
- Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area.
- Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center.
- Collects and translates the business requirements for specifications of warehouse management systems.
- Applies knowledge of all warehouse processes to prioritize and distribute resources according to business needs.

**Additional Information**:
Work schedule: Monday - Friday

Over Time planned on Saturdays on assigned shift
