The Business Development category is responsible for generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives.
The tasks for this role will include most of the following:
- Establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers.
- Communicating new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers.
- Proactively identifying sales opportunities and developing these opportunities.
- Devising plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship managers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank.
- Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities.
- Developing and implementing distribution channel business development strategies.
- Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews.
