**The Role**
We're hiring a dynamic senior leader for our Ecommerce Sales Leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee managers, drive growth and scale our Checkout Platform in Mexico. We are looking for a rockstar who would like to be part of this amazing fast-growing Fintech as a **_Ecommerce Director - Checkout Platform_**.

**What will I be doing**
- Lead a senior, experienced team of Sr Sales Team Managers and their teams of Sales Executives for scale the Checkout Platform in the market.
- Develop the long-term vision and strategy for growing the team and scale day-to-day operations.
- Adopt and influence the company's sales methodology/process and drive best practices on selling and forecasting.
- Lead internal teams to deliver results, especially the development of new solutions, improvements and prioritizations
- Develop best practices that enable the organization to scale more rapidly to deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth.
- Proactively recommend payment solutions that support payment innovation and optimization.
- Research emerging trends / best practices to determine implications of proposed payment solutions.
- Stay updated on the digital payments landscape, such as mobile wallets, digital wallets, open banking, tokenization and bank payments to identify potential partnerships
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes
- Relationships in the payments industry are important (suppliers, customers and partners)
- Monitoring and influencing industry-wide payments change activities and successfully managing those changes internally
- Write business cases for new initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues.
- Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection and privacy.
- Engage with the largest strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships and helping the team win new customers.
- Help teams choose and sequence the best partners for our products.
- Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics.
- Ability to travel from 10%-30% depending on project status.
- Partner cross-functionally across different teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Partnerships, Account Management, SDR), regionally and globally
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- +15 years of payments experience in product, partnerships and business development, or equivalent.
- +8 years of experience with emphasis on B2B Sales, specifically building and managing External Channels and Partnerships to commercialize acquiring products / ecommerce platforms or solutions.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for organizations.
- Experience with ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Proficiency in negotiation, business development, client relationship management, consulting services, and project management are required.
- Self-directed, driven and motivated with demonstrated analytical, negotiation and business development skills.
- Is mandatory experience within payments and ecommerce platform, checkout, plugin, API integrations, fintech, and/or financial service industries (at least +10 years)
- Experience in Payments experience with digital merchants.
- Understanding and experience in the Latam Markets.
- Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers.
- Experience with payments and technology products.
- Experience working for an ecommerce platform.
- Experience in hunting, sales methodology, sales process, funnel and pipeline
- Experience of working with operations from scratch
- Experience in maintaining the most senior executive relationships at significant medium and large prospects and helping close those deals.
- Data-driven in making decisions, setting goals, and driving success in the organization while embracing 'hands-on' sales and qualitative success metrics.
