Overall Summary of the Job:
Primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of trade capture and trade lifecycle events via daily controls. End-to-end process knowledge and organizational skills are critical for success in this role, as responsibilities stretch across all aspects of the trade lifecycle process. The specialist will have daily interaction with Front Office, Product Control, and other Operations functions. Must have the capacity to handle change and to participate in system testing and the implementation process.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

- Ensure accuracy of trade capture and trade lifecycle events for Derivatives transactions covering Interest Rate, Credit and Emerging Market products.
- Provide ongoing interaction with other Operations groups, Trading, Sales, Compliance, Credit, and IT teams to resolve issues arising from trade execution and maintenance.
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly reporting and reconciliation files as necessary.
- Participate in global projects working with colleagues from other HSBC sites.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system development.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Effectively manage operational risks.
- Maintain the HSBC Group FIM standards and ensure satisfactory or above audit ratings are achieved.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- Computer literacy, intermediate knowledge of MS Excel a must. Working knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.
- Must be detailed oriented, good problem solver, should have good communication skills
- Must have strong overall knowledge of US Domestic Equity and fixed income markets

Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant role
