**Regional Technical Safety Manager**
Join our Risk, Environmental Safety, and Health (RESH) team at Essity, a key function within the Global Supply Chain organization. **About the Role**:
As a Regional Technical Safety Manager, you will be responsible for delivering technical safety performance and improvement across the region or business area. With your continuous improvement mindset, strong leadership skills, and coaching abilities, you will work closely with site teams to ensure the highest safety standards are met in machinery, infrastructure, loss prevention, and process safety.

**What You Will Do**:
- Coordinate and facilitate risk analysis and evaluations across the region or business area
- Provide technical safety expertise in machinery, infrastructure, and process safety for manufacturing and additional infrastructural technology
- Collaborate with site teams to eliminate top priority risks in machinery safety, process safety, and loss prevention
- Engage with OEMs and technical safety consultants to ensure standardized and safe solutions
- Support project management, including direct involvement in high-complexity projects and facilitating technical safety projects
- Train and coach regional organizations, helping to identify key competencies and build skills
- Perform site visits to audit current safety practices, develop implementation plans, and work together with global Technical Safety teams
**Who You Are**:
- Possess a Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, safety engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Have 5+ years of experience in chemical processes, converting, and paper making operations
- Expertise in safety systems for machines, with external qualification - CMSE (Certified Machinery Safety Expert), and physical and chemical processes and process equipment, with external qualification - HAZOP/LOPA (Hazard and Operability Study/Layer of Protection Analysis)
- Experience in loss prevention with an emphasis on fire prevention, and familiarity with European and US standards and legal requirements (e.g., cfpa, nfpa )
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, technical knowledge of paper manufacturing and converting, preventive maintenance, process engineering, and utilities
- An excellent team leader and participant with the ability to provide appropriate management direction, administration, coaching, and follow-up
- General knowledge of regional personnel practices and labor agreements
- Willingness to travel up to 50-70%
