About You:
We are looking for an individual who can deliver a range of Sustainability projects bringing together our suppliers, external agencies, and our key partners to enable the delivery of Diageo’s 2030 Spirit of Progress sustainability ambition working very closely with all functions in particular, Corporate Relations and Operations.

The role will report to the Head of Procurement Tequila. It will closely partner with the LAC Procurement packaging team, with the Sustainable Procurement COE lead for LAC, and the Global Sustainable Procurement Managers (Glass, Paper, etc) to ensure consistency in the overall Grain to Glass agenda.

About the Role:
This role is instrumental in accelerating the transition to sustainable, low-carbon packaging supply chain (Scope 3) across the country, supporting the Diageo’s 2030 ambition.

It will focus at first on delivering local Packaging Sustainability Projects including but not limited to, glass cullet supply chain research, legislation changes for cullet, risks and opportunities in cullet infrastructure, and other strategic decarbonization levers in the market.

Key accountabilities include:

- Lead the development and delivery of key packaging transformation projects in the market, initially focusing on glass cullet.
- Building roadmaps to bring Strategy to execution at pace and with a high level of collaboration.
- Leading local packaging decarbonization projects to ensure delivery on time, to specification, and within budget.
- Work with internal and external key partners at a global and local level, bringing teams together to integrate new and emerging technologies into our packaging decarbonization strategy.
- Work with the local brand and relevant procurement teams to build clear business proposals for local packaging projects.

Support all data collection to establish baselines and support the development of supplier, category, market, and brand-specific improvement plans.

Lead the integration of findings from packaging decarbonization pilot programs from other regions into local plans.

Experience required and Skills:

- Experience and expertise in Sustainability and/or deep knowledge of packaging.
- Strong project management skills, demonstrating deliveries and outcomes.
- Experience in dealing with and influencing multi-stakeholder teams with environmental and authorities and peers.
- Positive relationship building at all levels, including with Senior Managers.
- Conflict resolution: the ability to identify root causes of complex issues and successfully navigate their resolution.
- Excellent presentation skills, enthusiasm, and lead workshops internally and externally, engaging people and building capability.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in tandem and within exciting timelines.
- Proven and recognized achievements in areas related to sustainable supply chains.
- Be a self-starter with high levels of motivation to work across a matrix organization.
- Passionate about sustainability and producing value through value chain teamwork.
- Outstanding communication and organization skills and ability to represent Diageo in external forums.
- Proficient English and Spanish
