The Business Development Manager drives new business opportunities, maintains existing customer base, and expands on current business opportunities by developing and cultivating strategic relationships, networking, and developing connections with new and existing customers.

The BDM creates strategic account plans and actions in coordination with the sales team - Internal Sales Executive (ISE) & Sales Managers - and ensures all necessary customer facing needs are met to enhance business and meet revenue and gross profit (GP) targets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Identify key customer revenue growth opportunities within an assigned territory.
- Identify emerging markets, trends, and opportunities.
- Understand and be able to communicate service offerings while supporting sales in developing and closing new business.
- Subject matter expert on electronic component market, industry, and supply chain knowledge.
- Obtain AVL/PSL status with target accounts.
- Manage travel and entertainment budget wisely and in accordance with company Business Expense Policy.
- Represent Astute’s brand and values to all business partner (customers and suppliers).
- Strive to achieve quarterly revenue target goal.
- Work closely with Internal Sales Executives on joint accounts to collaborate on strategies, communicate current customer requirements, quote, and close deals.
- Willingness to travel.

High school diploma or equivalent, or 3+ years of sales experience or equivalent
- Industry and market experience required
- Self-driven, persistent, and high-energy

- Strong communication and presentation skills

Language, Mathematical, And/OR Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
