Who We Are

The Role

The event coordinator is an entry-level role with lots of possiblities A successful individual in this role will help to create and deliver high quality event outputs to support the business objectives and targets. In this role you are responsible for helping run a range of events, ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. You will help organize conferences, seminars and exhibitions for both internal and external audiences.

You'll manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and involves working as part of a team.

What You’ll Do
- Identify and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third parties to ensure all events are completed on time, to budget and in support of the success factors for each event
- Liaise with marketing colleagues where events and product campaigns overlap to ensure a successful outcome
- Take the lead on understanding the need/problem, understanding what success for each event looks like
- Produce detailed plans for each event (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Research venues, suppliers and contractors, and negotiate prices
- Manage and coordinate all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event
- Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers and delegate packs
- Coordinate suppliers and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
- Maintain success metrics on a regular basis to ensure ROI is being met and produce post-event evaluation to inform future events

What You’ll Bring
- 0 to 1 year experience in events management or hospitality
- Must be familiar with general computer use including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to pick up knowledge of new computer packages
- Knowledge of design for print, electronic display formats and event stand production sensitivities
- Knowledge of integrated marketing methods utilized ahead of events to amplify interest at the event
