As a pivotal figure in the procurement process, you will take on the role of a team leader, inspiring both yourself and your colleagues. You will be tasked with formulating strategic sourcing initiatives and overseeing sourcing operations for various commodities. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you conduct comparative assessments of competing suppliers to identify the most advantageous sources for specific commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Customs and Trade, PMO, and PPM, to ensure the prompt acquisition of Certificates of Origin (COO) for USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements throughout the new project development phases. Coordinate with Customs and Trade to secure annual Certificates of Origin (COO) for ongoing production projects. Evaluate and, when necessary, contest COO documentation from suppliers, always in collaboration with Customs & Trade, PPM, and Lineside as needed. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the procurement function. Develop and refine processes that standardize operations and ensure rigorous adherence to established protocols. Advocate for training programs that enhance understanding of USMCA's significance within and beyond the procurement domain. Serve as a liaison for other purchasing divisions (PPM, Lineside) to address inquiries related to USMCA.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Foreign Trade, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is required.

Relevant Experience:

A minimum of five years of professional experience in the automotive industry or at the supplier level, particularly in production parts. One to two years of successful experience in leading and mentoring peers, demonstrating strategic thinking, effective collaboration, and a results-oriented approach.

Required Expertise:

Proficient in strategic sourcing and cost management, including budget analysis, quote evaluation, benchmarking, cost forecasting, and negotiation. Basic knowledge of vendor tooling and technical drawing interpretation is also necessary. Strong database management and analytical skills to identify actionable insights. Familiarity with new project development methodologies (V3P, VLAP, NPQP, etc.). Comprehensive understanding of commercial and legal frameworks within the automotive sector, with desirable experience in foreign trade. In-depth knowledge of Nissan's internal systems, including GTOP, CFP, DCW, and SAP.

Language Proficiency:

English (Business fluent) - TOEIC score of 750 points or higher.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in MS Office applications. Experienced with SAP and Nissan's internal systems (GTOP, CFP, DCW).

Competencies:

Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Excellent networking and communication skills. Proven team management capabilities.
