Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering Specialist II to join our team at Hella. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and optimizing production efficiency across various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with plant managers to implement operational excellence tools and ensure consistency in methods and tools.
- Support regular Operational Excellence Road Map reviews and prepare improvement plans in conjunction with responsible parties.
- Investigate production and affiliated areas to identify improvement potentials in workflow and setup organization, analyze causes, and derive appropriate measures.
- Participate in preparing suggestions for improvement and serve as an interface to CIP, initiating improvement processes based on established procedures, and implementing suggestions and necessary measures.
- Analyze improvement projects regarding workflows, IE tasks, logistic concepts, processes, and work systems in production and service areas.
- Prepare and support the implementation of standards for technical or organizational processes and logistic workflows, taking the production system into account with responsible functions.
- Perform and agree Operational Excellence/HelPS activities with working methods activities, if necessary, initiate escalations.
- Qualify and guide the HelPS workshop process within the company in cooperation with responsible functions.
- Support the transition of projects from TtM to OtD in realizing new projects (products) in terms of production-related matters (design to manufacturing) and support the exchange of experience between production and development (lessons learned).
- Carry out success checks for measures initiated by comparing business management data in cooperation with responsible parties (sustainability checks).
- Take over the function of contact for the subject of 'lean production', Standard Work, MTM, SAP routings – Master Data, and communicate the subject to executives and staff.
- Instruct, guide, and support Operational Excellence employees at locations.
- Cooperate in the designing of work systems to improve the productivity of production process flows under ergonomic aspects.
- If applicable, trigger correction by the process/production scheduler or independently update industrial engineering data and fields of the routing.
- Check adherence to planned working method and calculated cycle times in the launch phase (launch support), update, and process indices 'open rating data' and 'the change.'
- Participate in capacity planning of resources and relocating products, as well as checking necessary capacities in the event of significant changes in planning.
- Acquire necessary data for calculation, planning, and wage payment using the MTM productivity management system and REFA methodology.
- Support production bonus implementation projects and proper problem-solving in case of obstacles.
- Calculate baseline performances for different bonus areas, train and mentor bonus groups, regularly track bonus results, and perform detailed analysis in case of abnormalities, manual interventions based on given standards in cooperation with the relevant manager.
- Be accountable for ERP PP-AV Master Data regarding work centers, routings (including component allocation), and production versions according to AD-00111 and AD-00140.
- Train ME Key-Users, MEs, and IEs regarding work centers, routings (including component allocation), and production versions.
- Be accountable for creating work centers, actively using (e.g., CR01, CR02), create data according to guidelines (F3050), and own the 'SAP PP-AV Expert' SAP role.
- Coordinate comprehensive and sustainable group work application by continuous support of groups, group leaders, and supervisors.
- Ensure concept-related qualification of groups, group leaders, and supervisors, carrying out appropriate training measures in line with given standards.
- Take responsibility for solving problems during the proper implementation of and adherence to agreed targets and performance indicators of the related group work concept.
- Adapt group classification, monitor requirement-dependent components of payment, informing the respective organizational units.
- Control and report group work-related KPIs.
- Prepare, preside over, and perform workshops on the standardized group work concept.
- University degree
- More than 2 up to 3 years of experience
- SAP (Preferred) or ERP similar
- English (advance)
