Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer (Hardware Engineer) to join our interdisciplinary project team in the automotive and industrial logistics sectors. This role involves collaborating with experienced professionals, including a Lead Engineer and/or Project Manager, to adapt electrical designs for various projects.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the technical aspects of implementing Eplan drawings for small-scale projects, as well as creating as-built documentation and adapting existing systems. This includes developing new Eplan drawings and bills of materials using customer templates and best practices.

The successful candidate will provide support and technical advice to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager during discussions with clients, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on project-specific tasks related to electrical construction adaptations.
  • Develop and implement Eplan drawings and documentation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and commissioning activities.
  • Engage in technical discussions with clients to provide expert guidance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in automation engineering.
  • Proficient in electrical engineering, specifically Eplan drawings.
  • Experience with installation and commissioning in body shops, conveyors, and storage systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety regulations relevant to project implementation.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with products from Siemens, SEW, Sick, Pilz, Wago, and Festo.
  • Basic and detailed engineering implementation knowledge, particularly in Eplan and/or Ruplan.
  • Language proficiency in English and Spanish; German is a plus.

Preferred Education

A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a focus on electrical engineering is preferred. Certification may be required in specific areas.
