**Role Overview and Responsibilities**

As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for driving maintenance team performance to meet established metrics. This includes tracking and recording uptime, implementing and tracking key actions to attack downtime top offenders, and ensuring smooth operational performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Track and record uptime for assigned areas and drive action to improve performance
  • Support reliability and maintenance actions for all areas to ensure smooth operational performance
  • Implement and track key actions to attack downtime top offenders
  • Directly responsible for production equipment and safety issues
  • Implement Continues Improvement Projects
  • Implement TPM and SMED for key equipment
  • Support LEAN tools implementation
  • Responsible for supporting and implementing the BE LEAN culture, including TPM, SMED, OEE, and 5 S's
  • Participate in transitions, deploying equipment strategy to assure equipment knowledge, training, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, spare parts, and HSE compliance
  • Responsible for complying with all roadmaps assigned and HSE culture of the site
  • Participate in new equipment introduction projects, supporting from a maintenance standpoint all aspects to successfully deploy/release new equipment
  • Supervise team to support assembly and test equipment modification and support new equipment introduction or modifications for new processes
  • Lead technician team to drive and participate actively to meet equipment capacity, capability, and reproducibility requirements in concert with engineering and quality groups
  • Participate in equipment specification, supplier identification, quotation, selection process, project management, and implementation in concert with multifunctional teams
  • Establish preventive maintenance routines, drive PM accuracy, and attainment to meet campus goals
  • Lead and drive equipment safety compliance, manage resources to assure all machinery/equipment meet HSE standards
  • Promote and drive 5 S culture across maintenance organization and technicians and coach as necessary the team
  • Drive visual factory on all equipment, tool cribs, and areas of support
  • Supervise team to support existing manufacturing, test equipment, and where applicable for NPI implementation, continuous improvement projects, major breakdown recovery, or transition projects
  • Lead and supervise team to drive LEAN culture and tools, and actively participate in Be Lean initiatives (Gembas, RPS, Kaizen, Standardize work, etc.)
  • Actively participate with multifunctional teams to support customer response, RMAS, and failure analysis
  • Support and participate in initiatives from assembly and test machinery standpoint to meet utilities goals (energy savings projects)
  • Identify training needs to develop and motivate maintenance team
  • Responsible to present a training plan in a yearly basis for the technicians under his responsibility
  • Lead behaviors to promote and maintain interdepartmental harmony
  • Cultivate strong, successful relationships with external customers, S&C business leaders, and other internal functional stakeholders

**Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes**

**Core Requirements**

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment as a repair and maintenance engineer
  • Computer literate, proficient using Windows and MS Office
  • Problem-solving techniques
  • Six Sigma and Lean tools
  • Skilled in handling and solving engineering and maintenance issues
  • OEE/OA concepts and implementation
  • Experience on TPM and SMED implementation
  • Skills to implement projects in a short time using Lean tools
  • CMMS for equipment PM's administration
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English
  • Ability to make decisions based upon in data collected or any potential issues in existing platforms on products
  • Knowledge in tool repairs and fabrication of assembly equipment
