Job Summary

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is a senior management level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi's financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Manage forward looking processes including forecasts, strategic/operating plans, monthly outlooks, and review results against plans monthly.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead a team in conducting month-end close processes including the consolidation of flash estimates, monitoring general ledger bookings, and creating detailed variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
  3. Balance Sheet Management: Lead balance sheet management with frequent reviews of internally developed software assets and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on topics of internally developed software.
  4. Financial Performance Analysis: Participate in quarterly review of balance sheet trends and strategic forecasts with technology managers and chiefs of staff as well as perform analysis of financial performance of Citi and its competitors.
  5. Analytics and Reporting: Generate analytics for quarter end flash results, related highlights, board of directors reports, and executive management reports as well as contribute to quarterly competitor reviews, quarterly annotated supplement, and quarterly investment reports.
  6. Risk Capital Estimation: Lead the estimation of risk capital and embed estimation and other metrics of capital usage into management reports and decision processes.
  7. Business Decision Support: Prepare/present to senior management and stakeholders on using metrics to evaluate and drive business decisions.
  8. Financial Initiatives: Implement financial initiatives and manage work of the department ensuring appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place.
  9. Partnerships and Collaboration: Partner with the revenue areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or control.
  10. Leadership and Management: Manage and direct individuals within the infrastructure area through relevant direct reports.
  11. Compliance and Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications
  1. Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Managerial Experience: 8-10+ years of managerial experience.
  3. Industry Experience: Experience in financial services.
  4. Financial Modeling Skills: Demonstrated financial modeling skills with the ability to drive top down strategic and operational plan.
  5. Communication Skills: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  6. Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships and interact at all levels of an organization.
  7. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills.
  8. Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Education
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Master's Degree: Master's degree preferred.
