About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer - Marine and Ports to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our Process Automation division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marine and ports industry clients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site repairs and maintenance, identifying technical problems and analyzing them to ensure efficient resolution. Coordinate and prepare materials, parts, and equipment to ensure timely completion of tasks. Prepare standard lists, documents, and reports to be signed by customers, and provide timely updates on work progress. Identify potential equipment failures and take corrective actions to prevent downtime. Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and make recommendations to prevent future issues. Collaborate with management to implement product, quality, and customer service improvements. Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices and work to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in maintenance or installation services in process automation and/or Marine and Ports industry. Advanced English language skills are essential. Knowledge of one-line diagrams, control schematics, test equipment, and communication protocols is highly desirable. A collaborative approach, strong written and spoken communication skills, and a solution-focused mindset are essential for success in this role.
