**Job Summary**

As a Technical Solutions Specialist at Vertiv, you will be responsible for providing equipment designs, component selections, and performance information for potential sales. You will guide equipment orders through the pre-sale process, ensuring timely production release. Your proficiency in technical HVAC design skills will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide pre-sale technical support to the sales team, helping customers understand and develop technical requirements.
  • Analyze and determine engineering configurations and changes needed to fulfill customer requirements for equipment.
  • Review final equipment proposals for technical validity, overall solution design, and validation of equipment configurations with the customer and company representative.
  • Provide technical planning and project management for assigned projects.
  • Provide costing estimates for special features and components required for specific projects.
  • Coordinate the generation of submittal documentation and other project documentation.
  • Assist with definition and implementation of customer witness testing, when required.
  • As training and tools become available, provide energy analysis and other total cost of ownership metrics for projects that require it.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in design and engineering for HVAC products.
  • Thorough understanding of psychrometrics, fan technologies, direct expansion, chilled water, and evaporative cooling technologies.
  • Autodesk AutoCAD 2D skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills, ability to multitask, and detail-oriented.
