This Role

The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in the financial leadership of PayJoy. This executive will oversee all financial operations, ensure the company's financial health, and drive strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership
    • Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team to meet financial targets and improve margins and return on invested capital.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
    • Be accountable for the company's financial performance and cash management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Accounting & Compliance
    • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations.
    • Help to oversee internal controls and audit processes to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
    • Help to manage relationships with external auditors, investors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Capital Markets
    • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
    • Monitor the company's capital structure and optimize capital allocation.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Lead the financial planning and analysis function to support strategic decision-making.
    • Oversee the development of financial models, forecasts, and performance metrics.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to drive business performance.
  • Team Leadership
    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
    • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to finance team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, capital markets, and financial planning.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial management and capital raising.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a multinational environment is highly desirable.
