Job SummaryLeverage your expertise to lead and organize the definition, execution, and operation of digital products, delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a customer-centric culture to deepen relationships with clients and leverage Scotiabank's extensive network and systems.
- Understand the product: comprehend the product and processes in-depth, utilizing competitor trends to inform and improve the product.
- Understand the business: understand the direct competition, analyze it independently, and extract knowledge to contribute to product evolution.
- Understand technology: understand platforms and work with engineering teams to formulate technical solutions, staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends.
- Understand product design: visualize the product through prototypes, flow diagrams, or mind maps.
- Understand data and analytics: possess advanced knowledge of digital metrics (Google Analytics, Firebase, Adobe, etc.), analyze data independently, and comprehend engagement and customer lifetime value metrics.
- Discover problems: drive objective ideation sessions, collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize problem aspects, and agree on high-level solution approaches.
- Understand the customer: have a deep understanding of different customer segments, their attributes, size, and contribution to the business, and prioritize segments to create personalized experiences.
- Product vision and roadmap: lead the formulation of the product strategy and create journeys, identify dependencies, and outline outcomes.
- Commercial analysis: create a business case based on research with correct results, actively understand revenue flow mapping.
- Results-driven/KPIs: comprehend product KPIs, take the initiative to improve KPIs with guidance.
- Requirement collection and documentation: work with the business analyst to create detailed user stories, divide requirements into smaller parts for agile development.
- Prioritization and backlog preparation: maintain the prioritized backlog for current and future development, continue using Scrum feedback and business changes to reprioritize, and be proactive to ensure efficient use of development capacity.
- Reports and feedback: work with analytics teams to establish, measure, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for new functions.
- Agility understanding: participate and lead Scrum activities, drive iterative execution, inspect, and adapt, and work closely with the Scrum Master to improve team speed and efficiency.
- Product marketing: work closely with marketing and the Scrum team to drive execution, conduct demos, write clear release notes, and proactively share with stakeholders.
- Talent acquisition and management: participate in PO hiring, participate in onboarding sessions, and help new team members during their initial days (volunteer as an onboarding buddy).
- Personnel development and coaching: provide informal training and coaching to junior team members or new hires, build trust and credibility within the team and leaders, and start providing coaching through timely, specific, and constructive comments to other team members, encouraging and supporting others to take on new tasks and challenges.
- Influencing effective collaboration: maximize relationships with stakeholders within Digital Banking and Scotiabank, and drive your expertise in your area of specialization.
