Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager II to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our Human Resources support staff, you will work closely with HR employees to carry out daily activities, including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing Recruitment and Hiring Process
    • Assist in interviewing and hiring HR team members with the appropriate skills.
    • Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources.
    • Attend job fairs and ensure documentation of outreach efforts.
  • Administering and Educating Employee Benefits
    • Work with the unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims.
    • Prepare, audit, and distribute unemployment claim activity reports to property management.
    • Attend unemployment hearings and ensure property representation.
  • Managing Employee Development
    • Support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive new hire training.
    • Ensure employees are cross-trained to support daily operations.
    • Use on-the-job training tools for employees and supervise ongoing training initiatives.
  • Maintaining Employee Relations
    • Assist in maintaining effective employee communication channels.
    • Review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency.
    • Utilize an 'open door' policy to acknowledge employee problems or concerns.
  • Managing Legal and Compliance Practices
    • Ensure employee files contain required employment paperwork and proper performance management documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with procedures for accessing, reviewing, and auditing employee files.
    • Facilitate random, reasonable belief, and post-accident drug testing processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in human resources, business administration, or a related major; 1 year of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field.
