We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Care Coordinator to join our team at Global Excel Management Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of medical appointments, obtaining required information to process cases, and providing excellent customer service to clients and providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct communications with customers, clients, and providers via phone, email, and other forms of communication to obtain necessary information.
  • Documentation of all calls or communications in the system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide claims information to members, clients, and providers, including status, process date, detailed payment amount, check number, discounts taken, etc.
  • Identify potential problems and take prompt corrective actions to avoid escalated issues that require supervisory intervention.
  • Coordinate medical appointments, including locating and contacting participating providers who have availability and meet patient preferences.
  • Make decisions on when to bring specific issues to the attention of the supervisor/manager.
  • Follow up with insureds on claims in a timely manner to obtain updates, missing information, etc.
  • Complete administrative tasks as delegated by the team leader and according to business needs, including but not limited to requesting financial updates after services are rendered, verifying PPO participation, and sending VOBs to providers.
  • Serve as a resource for other departments and assist as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, +3 years of experience in Assistance Coordinator or insurance industry preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with clear and effective communication skills in both languages.
  • Knowledge of commonly used claims and health insurance terminology.
  • Multitasking and prioritizing abilities.
  • Follow-up skills.
  • Detailed oriented and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products.
