As a Systems Test Engineer at BorgWarner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the system qualification processes and activities are completed for an electrification project. You will be responsible for the qualification of system requirements and will collaborate with the hardware and software teams throughout the product development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a system qualification test strategy that meets the project's requirements.
  • Analyze system-level requirements and create mature, robust test specifications.
  • Perform systems qualification testing and prepare results.
  • Support customer interface for any system qualification issues.
  • Participate in peer reviews of system integration and qualification strategy and test specifications.
  • Interface and support system integration engineers and test automation engineers.
  • Participate in test spec defect process.
  • Create and maintain defect tracking process across all projects.
  • Ensure process adherence across all PDS projects against ASPICE levels.
  • Support audits on the project for all levels of testing.
  • Support bench definition and configuration required for testing.
  • Help train new hire engineers to the team.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering or related science discipline required.
  • MS degree in electrical engineering or related preferred.
  • 3-5 or more years of experience as systems engineer and/or systems/software test engineer.
  • Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support multi-shift operation if necessary.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Highly aware and adhere to high voltage safety standards and procedures.
  • Experienced in writing test specifications on requirements as well as designs.
  • Experience of different types of test generation methodology.
  • Experienced in executing tests on different test environments.
  • DSpace/NI/CAN tool experience.
  • Knowledge of Excel/XML/XLST standards.
  • Experience in defect tracking process tools.
  • Understanding of automotive spice and all test levels.
  • Understanding of ALM/PLM requirement management tools.
