We are seeking a highly skilled Development Manager Statistical Forecasting to join our Global Supply Chain team at Friesland Campina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving global statistical demand planning and implementing machine learning/AI to improve forecast accuracy.
About the Role
The Development Manager Statistical Forecasting will focus on the following key areas:
- Drive Business Adoption of Statistical Forecasting
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the adoption of data-driven forecasting through statistics and AI/ML.
- Work closely with local Demand Planners and Demand Leads to successfully implement statistics and AI/ML.
- Manage resistance and coach colleagues supported by data and analysis.
- Develop and Implement AI/ML (Demand Sensing)
- Identify potential demand drivers and develop optimal solutions centered around AI/ML.
- Work closely with IT, local planning teams, the software provider OMP, and external experts.
- Maintain a network of specialists and researchers in the field of statistical forecasting and AI.
- Continuous Improvement
- Responsible for the ongoing improvement of the accuracy, bias, and added value of our sales forecasts.
- Identify and initiate new initiatives that will lead to long-term performance improvements.
About the Team
You will be part of a diverse and ambitious team within the Global S&OP organization. As a Development Manager Statistical Forecasting, you will report to the Global Forecasting Lead and contribute to the development of methodologies.
