Job Summary
The Procurement Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the strategic/tactical procurement activities above the threshold of 50k €. This role focuses on executing sourcing activities including supplier identification, managing requests for quotes (RFQs), bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract awarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing Execution
- Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier identification, request for proposal (RFP) development, bid evaluation, negotiations, purchase order placement, and full implementation of buying channel strategy.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Supplier Coordination
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain effective communication channels with suppliers to address inquiries and manage relationships.
- Contract Management
- Conduct contract management activities, including contract creation, modifications, and renewals.
- Maintain contract documentation, track key milestones, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers through effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution.
- Conduct regular supplier meetings, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement or value-added initiatives.
- Process Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the procurement function.
- Propose and implement process enhancements to optimize procurement operations, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and report procurement data to support decision-making, measure performance, and identify trends.
- Generate regular reports on key metrics, such as spend analysis, cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Global and Regional Category Management, operations, Outsourcing provider, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sourcing activities.
- Team Leadership
- In case of a Team Lead Role: Lead and supervise a team of Sourcing Managers, providing guidance, coaching, people development, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
