About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Front Desk Team Lead to join our team at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Job Summary: As a Front Desk Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring exceptional guest service, and providing leadership to your team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front desk team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Provide excellent guest service, resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Process all guest check-ins, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys
  • Handle all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • Assist with problem payments and follow up with guests regarding satisfaction
  • Anticipate sold-out situations and arrange alternative accommodations when necessary
  • Block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests
  • Contact relevant departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
  • Review shift logs and document pertinent information
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift and balance receipts according to Accounting specifications

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance

Benefits: As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
