Strategic Legal Advisor for North America and Latin America

We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Counsel to provide expert legal support to our teams in North America and Latin America.
The successful candidate will work closely with our contract manager, sales support teams, and be part of the Elsevier Legal team reporting into the General Counsel EMEA APAC LA. They will provide valuable guidance on commercial transactions, interact directly with customers, help deliver training projects, and act as a true business partner showcasing leadership skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing support on transactional matters including legal advice, contract negotiation, and drafting.
- Delivering best-in-practice professional legal services aligned with the strategic drivers of the business.
- Building relationships with stakeholders and becoming a trusted business partner.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in a law firm or in-house.
- Commercial Sales Lawyer, SaaS understanding preferred.
- Experience working in an international environment.
- Excellent academic qualifications and substantial relevant experience in providing legal advice and support to businesses.
- A well-developed technical knowledge of relevant areas of law.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 per year, along with numerous benefits that promote a healthy work-life balance, including flexible working hours, wellbeing initiatives, shared parental leave, study assistance, and sabbaticals.
