Procurement Associate

SGI Global, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Assistant to support the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico. The successful candidate will provide professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico.
Key Responsibilities- Located in Mexico City, Mexico, the position requires travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States, and other countries.
- Assist in developing requirements documents, market research, purchase requests, and other documents required for the procurement process.
- Support the program manager in writing technically correct task orders, Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and other procurement and logistics documents.
- Research and identify potential suppliers/vendors, obtaining estimated prices.
- Coordinate the delivery logistics of goods/services to the end users, tracking donation documents and acceptance letters.
- Coordinate with GOM agencies and INL Logistics to ensure the proper delivery of donated goods, documenting and finalizing the donation process.
- Communicate delivery schedules to stakeholders, providing timely updates on procurement, logistics, and deliveries. Report and inform of any procurement-related problems to facilitate proper actions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and provide administrative support to the program as required.
- Mexican Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- English FSI level 3/3.
- Spanish FSI level 4/4.
- Two (2) years of purchasing or acquisition experience.
- Knowledge of purchasing and Mexican importation processes.
- Ability to effectively deal with senior USG officials and senior and mid-level GOM officials at federal and local levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage overlapping tasks, and work independently.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects with minimal guidance and supervision, effectively prioritizing assignments.
- Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
