IT Procurement Category Manager

As an IT Procurement Category Manager, you will collaborate with the Procurement Team, engaging with project teams to identify, negotiate, evaluate, contract, and manage supplier relationships in a high-quality, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams in identifying, negotiating, evaluating, contracting, and managing supplier relationships effectively.
  • Support the organization with contract management, including negotiation and implementation of framework agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other necessary contracts.
  • Manage procurement categories with a focus on Information Technology, encompassing cloud services, professional services, infrastructure, hardware, software, and more.
  • Possess extensive experience working with suppliers, third parties, and external service providers, preferably within the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
  • Oversee indirect operations such as office supplies, computers, travel, maintenance, and machine parts.
  • Engage in procurement processes including product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration, and supplier performance management, potentially including strategic sourcing.
  • Establish comprehensive spend transparency through spend baselines, KPIs, and metrics.
  • Provide support to project leaders and cross-functional teams in selecting and managing suppliers and service providers on a project basis, aligning these decisions with overarching global category strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 years; Associate +9 years; Master’s +2 years; PhD +0 years).
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
  • No relocation required.
  • No sponsorship available.
