Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Station Manager with the chance to be based in a dynamic environment. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world, and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.

Three key areas that you will always focus on are:

  1. Safety and Risk Management: Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operations, managing a team to meet all building's goals.
  2. Service Quality and Customer Experience: Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers.
  3. Productivity and Process Improvement: Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and lean tools.

Main activities include:

  1. Leading a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station.
  2. Meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs, including management representatives and their drivers.
  3. Ensuring a safe workplace, properly trained people, and addressing their needs so they can focus on their jobs.
  4. Leading change at internet speed, innovation has made us the global company that we are today.

Daily Operations

Help in daily operations by:

  • Receiving, scanning, lifting, and moving shipments up to 25 kgs.
  • Routing shipments within the AMZL coverage area.
  • Supporting and assigning job duties to process assistants.
  • Adapting to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities.
  • Tracking & monitoring sorting operations and driver's dispatch.
  • Continually standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
  • Working in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air-conditioned.

Qualifications

A completed Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.

2+ years of direct management experience for employees and their performance.

3+ years of general experience.

Flexibility to work weekends and/or overnight shifts if needed with the availability to work 50% of the time on a night shift.

English Intermediate-Advanced (B2+).

A degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field is a plus.

2+ years of management experience in a delivery, manufacturing, production or distribution environment.

Management of a minimum of 30 employees (including payroll, performance management, workflow assignment).

Interest in long-term career development in Logistics & Transportation.

Experience working and managing 3PL operations.

Familiar with the area and willing to relocate.
