We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commodity Leader to join our Global Sourcing Organization in the Americas Forgings team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and executing strategies to drive cost savings, improve quality, and enhance supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute long-term global strategies for assigned sub-commodities to meet operational needs and drive business growth.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of commodity leaders to achieve business objectives and improve team performance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to drive sourcing strategy and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Negotiate strategic long-term supply agreements with suppliers to ensure multiple sourcing options and mitigate risk.
- Monitor index trends and drive appropriate action plans to optimize costs and improve supplier performance.
- Manage RFQ, offer evaluation, negotiation, and contracting processes to ensure best-in-class supplier selection.
- Escalate and resolve major supplier issues to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR 10 years of experience in Sourcing/Procurement, Program Management, or Supply Chain in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in sourcing with a strong background in commodity management.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in leading people and teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Broad supply chain knowledge to include operations, fulfillment, procurement management, quality, and engineering processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Demonstrated negotiation and supplier management skills with a proven track record of driving cost savings and improving supplier performance.
