Key Responsibilities- Procurement Strategy: Design, implement, and manage the procurement strategy for coffee in the country, working closely with our teams to drive and deliver volumes as per the overall coffee business plan.
- Processing and Quality Optimization: Optimize utilization of processing and quality resources in the country to derive maximum capacity utilization and efficiencies, and to eliminate controllable losses and minimize the impact of non-controllable losses.
- Infrastructure Development: Support in the implementation of the required infrastructure to deliver volumes as per the business plan.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure strict adherence to all laid down systems and procedures without exception.
- Cost Management: Ensure that all direct and indirect costs for the business are within budgets.
- Counterparty and Credit Risk Management: Manage counterparty and credit risk in buying and selling activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead the team to ensure high engagement and motivational levels, and align them with the overall people and coffee strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Provide adequate and timely market information to support trading and positional decisions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Interface with appropriate regulatory bodies for obtaining permissions and approvals.
- Team Development: Develop and build capabilities amongst the team.
- Advanced English: Advanced English language skills are required.
- Education: A university degree with post-graduation courses, preferably an MBA. Careers can be in agronomy with a commercial or managerial focus, business management, or any commercial or business management field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of full-time experience in well-recognized multinational companies, exporters, or agricultural commodities.
- Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, mobility, and the ability to work in a low-structure multicultural environment. Good interpersonal relationships and teamwork at a high level, high-level personal organization, discipline, and self-motivation, leadership and ambition to achieve positions of responsibility, high-level analytical skills, and decision-making.
