About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Team Lead to join our Content Operations team at Nielsen. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for leading a team of editors and ensuring the smooth operation of our content database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Editorial Manager in overseeing the organization of workflow and personnel schedules to ensure efficient and effective content operations.
  • Provide prioritization guidance on work assignments and manage team members' performance through regular one-on-ones, quarterly check-ins, and annual reviews.
  • Maintain workload requirements and inform the manager and staff of changes to deadlines.
  • Resolve and direct editorial discrepancies reported by clients and devise and implement ideas and procedures to improve quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the entire content team to build resources, establish processes, and define research best practices.
  • Identify new tools to assist with expanding editorial group and database coverage expectations.
  • Execute integration & project activities based on the manager's direction and coordinate training for new staff members or refresh the skill sets of the editorial team.
  • Maintain the content operations knowledge database, ensuring that all editorial documentation is kept up to date and that any changes to software, process, or standards are documented.
Requirements
  • Candidate must be proficient in reading/understanding/writing in English.
  • 3+ years of team management work experience.
  • Experience in working with global stakeholders and clients.
  • Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night, and weekend shifts.
  • Proven record of delivering quality results on time.
  • Uses logic to analyze data and capability to draw conclusions and communicate or provide advice or consultation to people managers and process owners.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in written communication.
  • Maintain composure and respond appropriately in stressful or crisis situations.
  • Ability to effectively build consensus within the team and among disparate stakeholders.
  • Capability to evaluate process performance within an organization and to make recommendations for improvements.
