Job Summary
The Sales Development Manager will oversee a team of 6-8 Sales Development Representatives, reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales Development. Key responsibilities include prioritizing new business activities, managing inbound marketing and cold call campaigns, and generating revenue for Cognex.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the SDR team in conducting daily inbound and outbound activities to achieve team and individual targets.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on campaigns, plays, and resources, building strong relationships with Sales and Marketing leadership.
- Guide the SDR team in improving business acumen, prospecting, and objection handling, helping them overcome performance gaps and feel a sense of belonging to Cognex.
- Deliver regular formal and informal feedback to support the team's professional development and future careers.
- Assist the team in upskilling product and industry knowledge, focusing on technology within the industry.
- Design innovative ways to connect and incentivize the SDR Team, promoting a fun and rewarding work environment.
- Ensure engagement and execution from SDRs in a hybrid role, balancing remote and office work.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales, sales development, and/or territory management.
- 2+ years of direct people management experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in marketing, business, or management.
- Experience in managing staff productivity and incentive campaigns.
- Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional passion, emotional intelligence, maturity, and good judgment.
