Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tour Conductor to join our team at Ventura TRAVEL, a leading provider of authentic and sustainable travel experiences in Central America. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead small groups of travelers on all-country trips across Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Panama.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000, depending on experience. This includes competitive compensation for each tour, opportunities for further education and career growth within the company, and international working environment with colleagues from Germany, France, and Latin America.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary host, day-to-day guide, interpreter, and manager for a group of senior travelers (small size 06-12 people) on a 02-03 weeks all-country trip.
  • Provide leadership for travelers and be responsible for their well-being, ensuring their safety and operating a smooth tour.
  • Maintain the established travel itinerary as closely as possible, making changes only when necessary.
  • Keep calm under pressure, act according to the protocol in special circumstances, and provide flexible solutions on your own.
  • Ensure that services delivered by partners meet our quality, safety, and sustainable standards.
  • Keep track of everyday spending, save receipts, and keep expenses under the specified trip budget.
  • Treat clients like friends and make sure their trip with us will be the best experience they can have.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge (C2 level) of the German language for communication with clients.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Official Guide ID from Mexico.
  • First Aid Certification (CPR and Heimleich manoeuvre).
  • Extensive knowledge of Mexico as a travel destination and passion to show it.
  • Interest in sustainable, local & authentic travel.
  • Engaging, reliable, and well-organized individual.
  • Good health, high energy level, and positive attitude.
