Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bar Manager to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of our bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits to guests, making recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
- Manage the inventory of liquor, beer, and wine, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that supplies are requisitioned as needed.
- Prepare and serve drinks according to specified recipes, using measuring systems to ensure consistency and quality.
- Count and reconcile cash and credit transactions at the end of each shift, resolving any discrepancies and securing the bank.
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs to the team, ensuring that the bar is always fully stocked and ready to serve.
- Assist in the training and development of new staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they meet the high standards of our team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related work experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly and safely, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, with the ability to make recommendations and provide expert advice to guests.
