About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate forecasting, reporting, and analysis for our theatrical music royalties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial forecasts, reports, and analysis for our theatrical music royalties.
  2. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  4. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in financial planning and analysis.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, including finance, operations, and sales teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  7. Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide ad hoc analysis and financial data requests as needed, generating insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Requirements
  1. Experience: At least 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or related field.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  4. Software: Proficient in financial software packages, including Excel, and other data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the entertainment industry, including theatrical music royalties.
  2. Accounting Knowledge: Strong accounting knowledge, with experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
  3. People Management: Experience in people management, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  4. Technical Skills: Experience with Essbase, SAP, and Tableau, or other financial software packages.
