- Technical Risk Management: Handle technical risk through undertaking and interpreting wind turbine loads analysis.
- Expertise and Analysis Support: Provide ad-hoc expertise and analysis support to all internal customers, including Technical Sales Management, Global Development, Sales, Construction, and Service teams, as needed, in pursuit of our global goals.
- Interface Management: Enable efficient interfaces between Sales, Technical Sales, Customers, and Independent Engineers.
- Independent Engineer Liaison: Liaise with independent 3rd party engineers to obtain and scrutinize independent energy yield assessments.
- Regional Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of Vestas turbines and regional wind conditions to provide expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders and support securing order intake.
- Market Requirements and Trends: Identify market requirements and trends to promote product, tool, and process development.
- R&D Support: Connect R&D to the markets through close interaction with developers and consultants through the Wind Power Plant development process.
- Process Improvement: Develop and coordinate continuous improvement of tools and processes, and collaborate on projects utilizing siting data to create value.
- Technical Review: Conduct technical review of engineering work completed by other engineers.
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Science, or related disciplines. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Experience: Previous working experience in similar roles within the wind energy industry.
- Technical Skills: Experience using wind engineering programs such as windPRO and wind flow modeling in WAsP and CFD.
- Regional Knowledge: Working experience in Latin America and knowledge of the Mexican and Caribbean wind market would be beneficial.
