About the Role

Morrison Express is seeking a highly skilled Global Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients and driving business growth through strategic account management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned client accounts.
  • Work closely with local operations teams and Regional Account Managers to ensure seamless service delivery and meet client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to design, offer, and implement competitive logistics and supply chain solutions, including air freight, ocean freight, domestic trucking, customs brokerage, project management, rigging, and assembly.
  • Provide prompt and compelling service proposals to address client requirements and reduce/eliminate client willingness to seek quotations from competitors.
  • Develop account-specific growth strategies and metrics to track success.
  • Build relationships with current and new prospective suppliers to ensure service proposals are competitive for the client and profitable for Morrison Express.
  • Stay knowledgeable on Morrison Express's capabilities and success stories within the client's industry of focus.
  • Develop new customer relationships with companies within the industry of focus and geographically related to the district/area where the employee is located.
  • Drive contract management processes and be responsible for accurately and timely quotations for assigned customers.
  • Develop, maintain, train, certify, and re-certify full-time, part-time, and third-party payroll employees who handle assigned customers on CSOPs (Customer Specific Operating Procedures).
  • Define and implement client-specific SOPs and ensure they are being adhered to throughout the Morrison Express organization at regional and local levels.
  • Ensure that all customer-requested milestones and metrics are being met to exceed client expectations.
  • Organize and lead local Customer Business Reviews.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may supervise up to 4 full-time employees and may supervise temporary employees from time to time based on volumes.

Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Operations, with experience in Air Import operations.
  • Experience managing and growing a global account, either in an account management or business development role.
  • Understanding and ability to present and sell supply chain solutions.
  • Capable of generating new sales leads and customer relationships.
  • Past account management experience a plus.
  • Professional and courteous communication skills, analytical and organizational skills, strong attention to details.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks based on department objectives, knowing when to escalate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
