About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Specialist to join our team at Swiss Re. As a key member of our Technical Accounting function, you will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end process of reinsurance accounts, cash flow, and data quality for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of client data onto administrative systems to support internal and external requirements.
  • Manage processes such as premium validation, profit commission, and general data analytical requests.
  • Oversee cash flow management and project manage the delivery of all data portfolios using a combination of business knowledge and IT skills.
  • Monitor quality of controls within Technical Accounting and work within a set framework of processes and guidelines to continuously improve the situation.
  • Identify opportunities to create value (qualitative and quantitative) for Swiss Re and external clients.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand deliverables and expectations.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Operational responsibility to handle a set of clients/portfolio, including technical verification of statements of account received from clients, account processing, balance settlement, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure that agreed priorities, deadlines, and service standards are achieved, and KPI targets are met.

Requirements

  • University degree in finance, actuary, accounting, economics, or administration.
  • Basic insurance/reinsurance knowledge, preferably in Life and Health (L&H).
  • Excellent comprehension of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PBI).
  • Fluent or advanced in English and Spanish (written, spoken, listening). Portuguese is beneficial.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and execute both independently and in a team.
  • Strong analytical skills, with good attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Good team player, diligent, and accurate working style.
  • Good process and quality understanding.
  • Positive attitude towards a dynamic and international environment.
