JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Communication Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring that projects aimed at change management achieve their objectives efficiently and within budgetary constraints. This role emphasizes the human aspect of change, addressing modifications in business processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organizational frameworks. The primary focus will be on developing and executing change management strategies and operational plans that enhance employee engagement and minimize resistance to change.

The Senior Communication Specialist will work to accelerate the adoption of changes, ensuring that employees effectively utilize new processes and systems, thereby maximizing value creation and achieving desired outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Formulate and spearhead the implementation of an internal HR communication strategy to enhance stakeholder engagement and comprehension of HR processes and change initiatives. Ensure that these initiatives are meticulously planned, executed, and delivered punctually and within financial limits. Facilitate action and reduce resistance by identifying and eliminating obstacles, as well as determining the necessary support, resources, and tools to assist stakeholders during transitions.
• Recognize quick wins that are cost-effective, easily achievable, and can be readily communicated and celebrated. Design and execute change management plans that encompass business impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and communication strategies, evaluation frameworks, sponsor roadmaps, training initiatives, sustainability plans, and resistance management/coaching strategies. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of change initiatives with overarching business objectives. Develop and maintain comprehensive change management documentation. Identify, analyze, and prepare strategies for risk mitigation. Partner with the HR Project Team to effectively implement the engagement project plan and promote high response rates. Create an annual Employee Engagement Strategy that includes clear goals and performance metrics. Continuously assess and identify opportunities to enhance and integrate the employee engagement process within organizational systems and culture. Consult with stakeholders to conduct a team diagnosis that uncovers symptoms, causes, outcomes, resources, and effects of team challenges. Collaboratively design the change process grounded in research, behavioral science, and best practices for improving team dynamics and performance. Establish conditions conducive to positive change and deliver effective interventions for both large and small teams, assisting clients in deriving meaning, understanding, and learning from their change experiences.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or a related field. 5 - 6 years of experience in organizational development and internal consultation within a complex organizational environment. Strong grasp of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven history of successfully managing change initiatives. Ability to create and implement effective communication plans. Must demonstrate teamwork and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational challenges.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Standard office environment; may require time spent on the manufacturing floor, including walking and standing as necessary.
