We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a critical member of our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for maintaining the design, usage, and purpose of our products at the Monterrey site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Launch, execute, and document engineering changes in our products.
- Maintain the integrity of engineering documents, including Bills of Material, product drawings, and production versions.
- Conduct new product and process opportunity quotations.
- Develop new products, implementing engineering or design changes based on feedback from prototype testing and customer evaluations.
- Lead projects of capacity expansion and/or product/process transfers.
- Support and execute validation tests in engineering changes, new developments, and/or prototypes.
- Audit and ensure the accuracy of Bills of Material and drawings in the operation.
- Provide engineering documentation necessary for production execution.
- Conduct risk assessments for our products and processes.
- Provide day-to-day support to the operation.
Requirements:
- Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineer or related field, with 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Comprehension of plastic injection and molding processes, familiarity with resins, tolerances, and assembly procedures.
- Familiarity with the product development process.
- Project management and scheduling skills.
- SAP (Material Master) knowledge.
- Experience with engineering software such as SolidWorks, Project, Planner & AutoCAD.
- Fluent English.
- Cross-Functional collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
