Job Summary

The Triage stage within Financial Crime Investigations is the initial referral point for all leads, internally and externally generated, believed to require investigation or a regulatory filing. The Triage Team is responsible for quickly and accurately assessing leads for eligibility and completeness in order to initiate a case within Financial Crime. Qualified cases are passed to the appropriate External Investigative Reporting Team (for immediate SAR/STR decisioning), Major Complex Investigations teams (for investigation).

  • Functional Knowledge
    • Capable of picking up, and applying, new ideas/concepts quickly
    • Excellent organisation and analytical skills
    • Enthusiasm and a positive 'can do' attitude
    • Efficient and effective decision-making skills
    • Good PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft software
    • Adaptability, flexibility and resilience
    • Knowledge of bank enquiry systems and general aspects of the bank processes
    • Strong inter-personal, customer service and communication skills - written and verbal
    • A self-motivated person who has the ability to work effectively alone as well as a team-player
    • Able to work accurately and to remain calm and controlled under pressure whilst performing all functions of the role
  • Requirements
    • Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration completed
    • Prior experience in Financial Crime Operations, Fraud Investigations, or Anti-Money Laundering Investigations, is desirable
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, power point and one note
    • General knowledge of bank systems, bank processes and compliance issues
    • Intermediate English proficiency, read and write, is desirable, but not strictly required
    • Excellent organization and analysis skills
    • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude of 'it is possible'
    • Efficient and effective decision-making skills
    • Adaptability, flexibility and resilience
    • Knowledge of bank search systems and general aspects of bank processes
    • Strong communication skills - oral and written -, interpersonal and customer service
    • A self-motivated person who has the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
    • Able to work accurately and remain calm and controlled, under pressure, while performing all role functions
