About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter SME to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for contributing to the profitable growth of our business line, while adhering to our company values and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to business submissions over $5,000 USD, selecting and quoting those that meet our guidelines and risk appetite, and negotiating new policies while maintaining effective communication with our distribution team.
- Participate in monthly renewal processes, ensuring adherence to guidelines and analyzing renewal terms and conditions for accounts with losses to achieve profitable results for the next period.
- Maintain a portfolio of requests, providing timely responses to issuance team requirements, and ensuring SLA accomplishments as part of our service.
- Interact with other AIG areas to provide information requests, such as claims, distribution teams, and technical advisories to brokers.
- Maintain a properly documented UW information profile, including UW summary, authorization, UW analysis, and other documentation to guarantee guideline accomplishment.
- Attend external clients to promote, train agents and brokers, and reinforce business line strategy, strengthening relations with agents and brokers to increase and create new business opportunities while promoting AIG values and behaviors.
- Approach and collaborate with internal areas to resolve services outside response times, achieving timely closure under UW authority and responsibilities.
- Participate in different activities and cooperate with necessary information to prepare reports and monitoring of results, KPIs, AAL, LTP, and other required information.
- Participate in assigned projects to improve operations, such as automation processes, or other projects requiring active participation.
Requirements:
- Achieve individual goals with UW discipline established in annual budget (monthly monitoring).
- Contribute to team goals for new business strategy and retention portfolio established in annual goal (monthly monitoring).
- Ensure proper accomplishment of UW guidelines.
- Achieve SLA accomplishments for all business requests.
- Attend internal and external clients requiring UW support.
- Participate actively in projects involving UW participation.
