Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee and provide direction throughout the duration of projects, from design stages to beta testing and through to final production. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience planning and executing both IT and business projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Project Planning: Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Schedule Management: Develop detailed project schedules to track progress.
  • Project Governance: Lead and direct projects through the Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) inclusive of Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Close Phases.
  • Stakeholder Management: Conduct project meetings with key stakeholders and capture action items for follow-up.
  • Change Management: Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and budget and follow a formal Change Request process.
  • Risk Management: Ensure project governance and escalation paths are clearly defined and followed.
  • Issue Escalation: Report and escalate issues/risks to management as needed.
  • Financial Management: Track and manage project financials by developing a detailed project forecast and validating against actuals each month to provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Technology Discussions: Facilitate technology discussions as warranted by the projects to drive solution and implementation.
  • Metrics Analysis: Focus on both qualitative and quantitative project metrics for better decision-making.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in project management, with experience planning and executing both IT and business projects and programs.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and executing projects from definition through implementation.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Certification: PMP and Scrum certified or comprehensive experience.
