Strategic Human Resources Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Human Resources Leader to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing short- and long-term human resources strategies, plans, policies, and programs to support our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor to senior management, contributing to the development of short- and long-term strategies and determining the major HR implications of those strategies.
- Define and develop the Mexican HR strategy and corresponding tactical execution plans to ensure alignment with our values and HR philosophies and achievement of our overall goals.
- Identify people's capabilities required for current and future success in Scotiabank, taking actions to attract, retain, and grow the talent required through leadership resource planning, performance measurement, developmental priorities, and career opportunities.
- Develop and implement HR programs that will support the success of our local short- and long-term strategies and ensure they continue to meet our current and future needs, reflect our corporate values, and adhere to guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and implementing human resources strategies, plans, policies, and programs.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive a customer-focused culture and lead a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior management, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex HR issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and contribute to the development of short- and long-term business strategies.
